Microgreens Fundraiser
Each week, in 6 square feet, students grow enough highly nutritious fresh produce to feed 100 families. Some of the food they sell as a fundraiser; the rest they use in their cafeteria service or donate to a local food pantry.
Education for 21st Century Challenges
Vertical Farming will be a solution to agricultural production and distribution challenges brought on by climate change and diminishing farm land. NASA will use vertical farming and microgreens to feed astronauts on long space missions!
The Program Grows with Students
Elementary students learn how plants support their health.
Middle school students learn how vertical farming supports societal issues, such as food deserts and social justice, supply chain disruptions, effects of climate change on food production.
High school students learn how closed environment agriculture can support their career goals.
